Quickly and accurately measure and tally lumber by scanning from the Sierra RapidScan Ruler. Flexible stainless steel ruler is 1-inch wide and 24 inches long, product characteristics such as species, grades, thickness, length are available for scanning from the reverse side. The operator scans bar-codes to select product types, thickness, and length to describe the product being tallied, then proceed to take measurements by scanning the widths of ends of lumber. The ruler is available in imperial and metric versions. Metric ruler scans in centimeters or millimeters depending on the unit-of-measure, the longer ruler is 60 cm long and shorter version is 35 cm.
