Transaction Processing

Sierra DigiTally enforces automated and integrated transaction posting. 

As business activities occur, it is crucial to capture and process them electronically.  Electronic transactions enable managers to see, "what happened" and the impact of activity is reflected by posting activities.   A conventional method to capture day-to-day activities can be done by transcribing it on a piece of paper in the warehouse/yard.  This piece of paper is then given to someone at the office to enter into the computer.  That's not what happens in Sierra DigiTally. 

Our system is designed so that data-entry and keystrokes are minimized.  We promote scanning, transmitting, and processing transactions transparently.  In other words, when a shipment of lumber is received, it is reflected in records and inventory electronically, without having to write it on a piece of paper and without depending on an operator to post it into the computer.   Receive-data is transmitted to the main software and applied immediately upon connection.  This method of transaction capturing and processing is available in the Inventory version of Sierra DigiTally.
