Inventory data and control of inventory  is only meaninful when inventory data is accurate and current.  Even when companies have effective paper-based record-posting in place, real-time visibility truly depends on successfully capturing and posting transactions without delay and without dependancies.  Much planning and effort must be put forth to enforce concurrency in paper-based systems.

Sierra DigiTally integrates transactions that are captured in daily operations and posts them against inventory as they occur.   For example, receiving products by mobile devices make it possible to post receive-activity when devices are connected; this eliminates the need  to manually scribe on paper and post it later by data-entry operator.  Other transactions are also posted in a similar fashion, upon connection of mobile device or  through warehouse stations.   Sierra DigiTally strives to offer a Six Sigma operating environment where business activites are captured and reflected in software in a consistant and seamless fashion.
